Every donation made towards the McVitie Fund until May 30, 2022 will be matched, up to $25,000!
We are so grateful that an anonymous donor has generously committed to matching every donation VHS receives towards the McVitie Fund before May 30, 2022 up to a total of $25,000.
Ryder’s story: When Ryder ruptured the ligaments in both his knees, his family rushed him to the vet. They were able to pull together enough money to cover his X-rays and medication to manage his pain, but now Ryder needs surgery and their finances are stretched to the breaking point.
Kiki’s story: When Kiki escaped from her home, she dislocated her wrist and fractured a bone in her leg. Kiki means everything to her loving guardian, who lives alone and has been struggling with depression since her mother died. Now she needs help covering the cost of Kiki’s surgery. “She’s my boss, my energy, my partner in crime. I can’t and don’t want to let her go”.
VHS contributes approximately $500 to each case we assist with. Reaching our matching grant goal will enable us to help approximately 100 animals in need.
Your donation today towards the McVitie Fund matching grant will:
– Cover the cost of veterinary treatments ranging from simple antibiotic treatments for infections, to major surgeries for bowel obstructions, dental work and broken bones.
– Keep animals with their loving guardians, ensuring that no animal is unnecessarily surrendered or euthanized.
– Enable VHS to provide a specialist trauma-informed care response for vulnerable clients that are struggling financially.
